Dear Diary, Someone snapped at me today. I am snappy myself sometimes so it is forgivable, but it hangs around you like sleeve. So I came back to my diary and there were all those lovely comments there, and I was grateful for them. Thank you. I should do this every winter.( just kidding). I took the basket from under my desk today to get it ready to bring to town. I plan to fill it organically, a little bit at a time.
Today Ghita brought in the pots we made as a staff at the Sunday course she gave us for our staff Christmas party. I made a pen holder, and the white glaze on the brown clay was almost mauve. It has raggged edges and I am delighted with it. It is good to do something that you have no expertise at, it frees up your notions, brings you back to your base creativity, to the simplest purest things you understand about making things. We sat, had a bit of derby cheese with sage in it and a cup of tea.
I am really happy with the winter white, summer white pillows that are shown below. They have a warm calm feel, and use up all the leftovers of cream and white you have on hand. I think a calm feeling on a cushion is a good thing, soothing to lay on.
