Each
rug is a one of a kind piece of art created by hand.
I make the rugs using recycled wool cloth, that is cut into
strips hooked onto burlap. Many of the rugs tell stories, others are
about the beauty of a moment, the way light has fallen on a field, or
capture simple observations. I like to reflect the importance of
simplicity, community and tradition in my work. My work is part of the
permanent collections of The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, The Art
Gallery of Newfoundland and Labrador, The Nova Scotia Art Bank
and
The Canadian Museum of Civilization.
